Fore!!!

Hello - sorry for the late post today.  Been busy running around and now I have to go and prep for a girlfriend to come over and play:)  I didn't want to break my blogging roll so I'm here:)

I'm showing you a card today that was for my hubby's co-worker.  He loves to golf so this is perfect. I also made him a golf towel and embroidered his nickname on it.

Isn't he cute?  I just love this little guy.  And it looks like he is actually looking at his shot and yelling Fore!

We gave one of my son's teacher a golf towel last year for a gift and he said the next time he went out golfing, he got his first hole-in-one!  So hoping they bring them luck:)

Sorry it is short, but I have to get ready.  I will show you the purse my daughter made tomorrow - I promise.  See you then.

Sweet dreams and have an enjoyable evening.

Tinkerbell onesie

Today, is supposed to be a beautiful day again after having a couple of "ucky" days of cold blowing winds and rain.  We needed the rain for sure, but not the wind.  We had another big fire break out threatening homes and they had to evacuate 30 some residents.  As of last night, it was contained, they did lose one house to the fire and no one got injured.  Almost a year ago today, we went through this same situation.

Today I am showing you another onesie, this time made out of some adorable Tinkerbell fabric.  It is sooo cute.  Bright and summery.
And to go along with this one, rather than a beach cap or visor, I did a headband using the lining fabric.
Tomorrow I will show you what my daughter was sewing up for her girlfriend's birthday party.  From what I understand, she loved it and even her mom had tears when she opened her gifts.  That makes me happy.

OK, off to my sewing room.  I received a call from  a lady that needs some scrappy sacs.  Haven't done any of those since they sold out at May Days:)  Been hooked on baby stuff LOL.
Enjoy your day and hope the weather is beautiful.

Hey everyone
So glad you stopped by to say hi and check out my blog.  I have been on a roll and blogging everyday.  It feels great too - especially having lots of projects to show you.
This is the last wedding card that I have to show you from the set I did for my girlfriend.  I love this one too - what can I say:)
You can't tell on this one, but the turquoise cardstock is actually shimmered - I found it in my stash.  I found a whole bunch of DSP and other kinds of cardstock in my stash.  I have to get busy using it.
I have been wanting to use these little roses for a while now and wasn't sure how to but I think this works out perfect.  Color is awesome and what better than on a wedding card.
Again, the veil and the bouquet are glittered.  I tried to get a better shot to show you.
Using the border punch from Stampin' Up! and the large oval and scallop oval punch as well on the sentiment.
So that is it for wedding cards for a while.  I hope you enjoyed them all - I really enjoyed making them.  And Kim really liked the variety so I was happy that she was happy.  Another happy customer:)
Thanks for sticking by me and not getting bored of them.  At least I hope not LOL
Tomorrow I hope to show you another infant outfit if I get the embroidery all done tonite.  It is soooo cute.  I will only tell you that I haven't done this outfit before and it is for a sporty little girl.  Now you have to come back and check it out.  See you then

Congratulations!

I've been sewing up some more projects today.  My daughter has a birthday party to go to tonite for a sleep over and decided that she wanted to make her friend a little purse that I got a new pattern for.  Fairly simple, but she still needs my guidance so we worked on it today.  I'm pretty proud of her.
She has also been sewing up some other little projects that she wants to put in the craft fair in Sept.  I told her if she sews them, whatever she sells, she keeps.  But I will show you those at a later date.

So today, I will show you one of the wedding cards that I was going to show you yesterday.  I used Blush Blossom, vellum and a little bit of flower soft for the bouquet.  The wedding dress is all glittered up as well as the veil.  The grooms accessories are colored with the blush blossom marker.  And a couple pearls down at the left corner.  This is one of my favorites and fairly simple.  It looks much better in real life though.

Hope you like it too - let me know what you think.  Would love to hear from you.

In the Pink

We are surviving the heat wave!!  Mostly staying indoors and only going out in the evening.  It was soooo hot yesterday and muggy.
I was going to post another wedding card today but a friend emailed and ask about some of the Wonder onesies I've been showing.  She wants a girl and a boy onesie so I would like to show you a girly Wonder onesie today so she can see it..
This one is adorable too.  It is pink with little ducks, bears and lambs with umbrellas.  I love the print on this one.  And to go with this one, rather than a beach cap, I decided to keep it sporty and do a visor instead.

I couldn't find my pattern I used to have for these so I had to wing it.  The strap is fully adjustable with velcro and the inside front of the visor is lined with a soft terry-type fabric for baby's skin.  I think it turned out pretty cute considering it was all from memory from a few years ago:)  One of the few things I didn't forget with old age LOL.

So Maureen, I hope you like it.  Let me know what you decide.

I hope you all like it too - see you tomorrow and stay cool.

It has been hot here today! Not sure what the temperature is but yesterday it hit 34+C. Almost time to start going to the beach my daughter says. Think we may have to consider it.

So this is the same fabric as the green one I showed you a couple of days ago, but in blue. My friend that ordered these six outfits is giving 4 of them to a set of twins. So I thought if they look similar but different colors, it would look awesome for the parents.

This is the frayed design I chose for this one. The sailboat with a fringed bottom sail. It looks a lot better in person.
They turned out so cute. And here is the beach cap to match that I also made for her.

They look great together.

I hope you like it. If you are interested in any of these outfits, send me an email. And custom orders are welcome for color choices.

See you back here tomorrow...........................hugs

Blue Swans

Hi everyone
Although I love this retired stamp set from Stampin' Up!, I always find it very difficult to come up with something elegant.  Not sure why.
This is another one of the wedding cards for my girlfriends order and my least favorite.  I love the colors, but I was just trying for something a little more elegant.  This was like the third try and I just went with it.
I used my scalloped and oval punches from Stampin' Up! for the sentiment.  There is glitter on the swans (if you clik on the photo, you might be able to see).
I hope you like it.  My girlfriend did and that's what is important.

See you back here tomorrow for another baby outfit.  Told you I've been busy!

Hugs til tomorrow

Spotted Turtle

I have been busy sewing baby outfits since May Days, along with other things.  A good friend of mine ordered 6 Wonder onesies - 4 boys and 2 girls all for 12 mos size.  They were all going to Ireland too!

The first one is for a baby boy in green with polka dots.  I embroidered a turtle on the front that frays out along his shell.

Sorry the close up of the design is a little blurry.  You can see the fray parts though.  It looked adorable on the front.
And along with the outfit, I always like to add accessories where I can.  Rather than a pair of shoes for this outfit, I did a beach cap.  The back drape protects their necks from the sun.  They are so adorable on.

Looks much better on their heads too -LOL

That's it for today.  I have more to post still so I hope you pop back over to see.

Hugs
