I know most moms don't put their little girls in black or gray. I remember when my daughter was a baby, I would go and buy little black shoes for my daughter and then run to the fabric store to match up the fabric so she could have a new outfit to wear with her black shoes. They were black clogs with a hot pink flower on top. I think if it has a fun pattern then it is totally cuteThis next dress is for 6 months. I had been eyeing this fabric for sometime. Something about it caught my eye and I had to get it. I decided to trim the bottom with a black cotton eyelet trim and embellish a brooch-like flower with what was left.
I also changed the straps on this one. Rather than tieing like the others, this one overlaps and buttons. Just a little variation.
The eyelet trim with the hot pink sparkly button in centre. Every girl needs a little bling.
The cotton eyelet trim is a cute addition to the bottom.
And the button closure on the straps.
I am working on finishing the bloomers in solid black and making the shoes. I wanted to add some of the cotton eyelet to the shoes, but when I went back to the fabric store, it was completely sold out. So I got none. But I think I will go and get a smaller version if I can for the shoes. I will post them later today when I finish them.
I just love making these little clothes. I told my husband that I need a model with a big grin on my face - he raised his eyebrows at me and I'm sure was thinking NO WAY!!! LOL
I will go finish the bloomers and shoes and post those for you later. Then it is on to some more papercrafting. Only a week to go til May Days. I'm starting to get nervous now.Sorry for the big spaces - not sure why it's happening.
Thanks for stopping by and we'll see you soon:) Enjoy the sunshiney day!!! Hugs
Sue this is gorgeous!
