Wallets, Wallets & more Wallets

Sorry I've been missing for a few days.  I've got this cold/flu bug and it has knocked me out.  Hopefully, I'll feel better by Monday for work............or not :)

I wanted to share with you one of my most popular custom orders I get.  The NCW wallet by Emmaline Bags.  I love this wallet.  SO many features and easily customizable.  Even holds a cell phone, plus so much more.  An awesome gift idea for any woman!!

This is the inside of the wallet for the custom set above.   There is room for 12+ credit cards, a coin pocket, a spot for your cell phone and the other area can be used for lipstick, chapstick or a pen, and two places for your bills.  This one has the crossbody longer strap.  You can remove it and use as a wallet, or attach when you are going shopping and don't want to carry a big purse around.

These ones all have twist locks:

And these have magnetic snaps for closures.

And this one has the push/pull closure.

They all come with a zipper charm on the inside, depending on the theme or occasion or who it's for.  This one was a gift from mom to daughter for Valentine's Day (and she loved giraffes).  It matches the Ipad cover I showed you here that I made for the same gal.  The one with the butterfly embroidery on the front:

A few more inside shots

So that's probably enough wallet photos for today ;)  Hope you enjoyed looking at them.  If you want to custom order one for yourself, message me on Facebook or email me and tell me what you are wanting.  We will plan it together.

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon

My Passion - bags & totes

Sewing has always been my passion and I'm getting more and more custom orders.  Mostly bags, totes and wallets.  I love creating them, even if I'm just modifying a pattern I purchased.
There are so many different styles and each client has their individual likes and dislikes they want to add - the best part of a custom bag.  It suits what you need, the colors or print you want.

Here are some different versions of the same bag, one of my favorites.  This pattern is called the Sophia Beach bag.

Like I said, this is one of my favorite patterns because it can be customized for so much.  This one in particular if from a gal that received one of my other bags for her birthday, loved it so much and ordered this one for her mom's birthday.  Her mom was just starting out in yoga, so I made her a matching yoga towel to go with it.

If you click on the picture, you can get a better picture of the embroidery design.  I used the same fabric for the embroidery applique as was used for the bag.  Mom loved her new yoga bag :)

And what's so cool about this bag, is the beach towel "holder" straps.  It works on each side.  Lots of room inside for other things.

Plus the other side has a large pocket with magnetic closure to put in your phone or keys, or anything you don't want to dig for.

Zip pocket inside for cash or anything you want secure.

An addition - holder inside for a water bottle (yoga bag)

And one of my favorites - giraffe print with bright kiwi green lining.  Love the print with a splash of bright for lining.  My girlfriend ordered this one for her daughter who just joined dance class.  And of course, I added a matching hand towel with personalization.  Makes it extra special :)

So, what do you think?  Very cool right?  The Sophia Beach bag is so versatile and is from Swoon Patterns.  I plan on doing a lot more of these for the upcoming summer.  If you want to custom order one of your own, email me or go Dreamscape Studio Facebook page and message me.  We can come up with a design you will love to take to the beach, yoga class or dance studio.

Thanks for stopping by.  More styles of bags & totes coming up, see you tomorrow!!

Tea Cozies with Style

I love creating gifts that also give me the space to embroider, and these cozies are ideal.  Choose the theme and I have the design or color combo to match up.
The Dapple horse on the left sold as soon as I posted it on my Facebook page.  The Christmas tree was for the Holiday Shopping Party event in December.  A fun way to piece fabrics together centered around the focal point - embroidery design.
Here are a few other designs I did:

Applique and embroidery - I think there was 9 or 10 fabrics on the design alone.  The detail is so pretty close-up

Embroidered on glitter felt

I love Maxine and her wittiness

Have a few more of these Maxine's/quotes that I really want to do :)

Tomorrow I'm going to share some of the wallets that have been super popular - be sure to come back and check them out.

Have a super day - couple more to relax and back to the office.  And with that being said:

I'm Back :)  Bring on 2015

Since this is the start of the New Year 2015, I've decided to start up my blog again.  I will do my best to share with you at least two times a week.  I know I have been lazy at blogging and quite honestly, discouraged.  Not having many viewers/readers, I thought why bother if no one is going to read it.  But I used to think that with Facebook and now I am up to 1250 likes, which was a huge jump for me in 2014.  I've gotten so many new customers & friends and done lots of events.  Trying to get my name out there and I plan on doing much more this year!  So with that being said, I will be sharing some of my most popular projects that I have done this past year.....and then some.
I still love making bags, wallets, totes and will create almost anything, if I can, when requested.  I love to do accessories, some home dec and will almost always personalize it with embroidery if I can.
I have a huge event coming up in April at the Castlegar Rec Centre.  You will see an "Upcoming Events" posted on my side bar with dates so you can keep tabs on me too :)  April 17, 18 & 19th for the West Kootenay Trade Show put on by the Castlegar Chamber of Commerce.  There will be 5-6000 people coming through to check us out and I'm so excited, and nervous at the same time.  So much to do before then, lots of stock to make up.
So with that being said, here's some of my creations for you to browse through.  I will forewarn you though, lots of pictures ..............but I will save some for next time :)  Click on them to see details
