I came back:)

Yes I came back.  Didn't mean to stay away for this long, but still fighting my infection, kids home from school, computer is acting up really bad and just been super busy.
Although I can't show you what I have been working on this past week, I do have a stationary set to share with you.

This is the front of the holder and is closed with a tab and velcro.  And here it is open holding the cards.  This is a form of OSW (one sheet wonder) but can't find the link right now, but will find out.

These are the 4 cards that are in the set of cards I made.  And here is a picture of the whole set.

I love this color combo.  Pinks and greens.  I never used to like greens of any kind, until I started making cards. Now I love celery and kiwi and of course all pinks, but especially with these green shades.  So happy, clean and springy:)
Still working on the craft fair.  We are up to almost 30 tables that are coming in.  A good variety of crafts too.  We still have 2 months til the fair and I want to fill it up.  If you or anyone you know wants to join us, you can email me.  Or make sure you pop by to see the goodies.  It's on Saturday, April 24th from 10-4.
I hope you like my stationary set.  They are a favorite of mine to make for gifts.  Most that I have given to as gifts say they don't want to use them though.  They would rather save them.  I laugh and just tell them they need to learn how to make some themselves:)
Thanks for dropping by and not giving up on me.  I do appreciate it and all the comments.  Have a great weekend and enjoy the sunshine and all my blogging buddies that are getting snow still, I will do my best to send you some sunshine (LOL).

Sweet dreams

Kind thanks

I wanted to show you this card last night, but honestly, I was so tired.  I wanted the weekend to be longer:)  This week is a short week with the kids getting Friday off.  We like having days off and making for a long weekend.
This is the last of my thank you cards I did.
I am really loving this Designer paper stack from Stampin' Up!  It is called Sweet Pea and has way more than the pkgs.  The image is from A Flower for all Seasons and the sentiment is from Thank You Kindly.  Both sets can be earned for FREE through Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration promo. Here is a close up of the image:
The cardstock colors are Taken With Teal, Pretty in Pink and Old Olive.

So that is it for now.  I have some other projects I hope to show tomorrow.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Thanks

It was a beautiful day today!!  Sun was shining, birds singing and I could even go out without a coat on.  I love it and love when the weather is like this.  I just hope it continues.

Tonite I made a couple of thank you cards that I needed.  I think I am going to keep on making them so I have spares whenever I need them.  Not just thank you, but all occasions too.
This first one is using the Cottage Wall Designer paper from Stampin' Up!  It is one of my favorites.  I tend to hoard DSP even though I have so much of it.  Using one of my favorite punches too - 2 step bird.  I love the clean fresh look of these colors together.  Reminds me of spring.  A piece of Orchid Opulence is behind the DSP and Rich Razzleberry is behind the sentiment.
This DSP was in my stash (not sure of the name of it) and I used Dusty Durango behind the main image.  I actually don't mind this card.  I'm trying different colors and prints that I wouldn't normally use.  Of course, I had to add some butterflies for soft elegance.  What do you think?
I better get back to work.  I have a couple of others I still want to get done.  So many ideas and so little time.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend and Happy Valentine's day!!!

Valentines' for school

I know I have been quiet.  But I have been busy:)
My daughter and I made 30 valentines for her class last night.  Sorry, I forgot to take a picture.  I DO have pictures of the other Valentine cards that I did though.
This is a picture of the 3 I did - one for the Principal, one for the Secretary and one for her teacher.  I made them all really different.  I took the picture in our living room with the sunshine today. Hoped the natural light would help with my picture taking:)

The first one is for our Principal.  Chocolate and pink is one of my favorite combos with vanilla.  And a closeup:

This next cutie is for my daughter's teacher and her husband, who also teaches at our school the same grade.  They are the sweetest, most caring & giving people I know.  The kids adore them.   My son had her 5 years ago and he loved having her as a teacher.  I also took a picture of the heart - see what's on it?

And the inside.

This next one is for our Secretary. Bold and bright, but I like it.

Tomorrow I will show you what else I worked on.  I still have some more to get busy finishing.....and some sewing.

Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes for my friend.  As of yesterday, she had two cat scans and was waiting on an angiogram.  For some reason that got bumped, so I am hoping that she got to go have this done today so she and her family can get some answers.  She was pretty upset that they would bump her and rightfully so.  I would've been choked too.  I don't understand sometimes, why they do that.

For those of you that don't know, I got the priviledge of running the 1st Annual Spring craft fair at my daughters' school in April.  If you or anyone you know would like a table in our craft show, please get in touch with me at rarinstamp@shaw.ca.  So far, the sign-ups for tables are going very well, as well as a great variety.  I am really happy. And the ones that have signed up are also helping to spread the word.  I'm hoping it will be a super success and then we can do it again in the fall closer to Christmas.  All the monies from the table rentals will benefit the kids - field trips, entertainment, supplies, etc.  The ad will be in the paper this weekend, so you can watch for that too.

Have a great weekend and I sure hope that you are having as nice a weather as we are.  No snow! A little bit of sunshine today too and the birds have been singing.

Big hugs

Please send your prayers

I don't have anything to show you today, but maybe later.

I just found out that a good friend of mine who I also used to work with, and also happens to be my upline's mom, is in the hospital this morning.  She was rushed into emergency with stomach ache, headache and vomiting.  So far they only know that her brain is bleeding - no reason as to why yet.  I got a lump in my stomach when I read this since it was so unexpected.  She is still there from this morning and I'm really worried.

Please keep the family in your thoughts................................hugs

I love these combos!!

Hello - it's been a busy day and I'm going to relax and go do some crafting now.  I wanted to share with you a couple of simple cards really.  I love these color combos!
This one is Pretty in Pink and Pacific Point.  And yes I added some bling to the flowers.

And this one is Pretty in Pink with Kiwi Kiss.

Both use Upsy Daisy and Best Yet stamp sets and I used my Top Note die for the Big Shot. A little bit of sponging on the edges and the sentiment is popped up on dimensionals.

I hope you like them.  Enjoy your weekend and thanks for dropping by :)

From long ago................a technique

I didn't get to craft today at all again, but I did want to share at least something with you.  It's a card I did a while ago with ink and folders run through my Big Shot.  Can't remember where I saw this but will definitely let you know when I do. .
So you ink one side of the folder, put in the cardstock, run it through the Big Shot.  Remove the cardstock and ink up with another color on the other side.  Slip the cardstock back in but don't worry about matching it up with the previous embossing.  You want it to be different since that's what gives you the neat pattern.

Looks cool huh - I love it.  I used Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa.  The folder image is layered on some Chocolate chip cardstock.

I watercolored the butterfly image with reinkers on watercolor paper and of course, I had to add some bling:)  Crystal effects was dabbed all over the flower to make it pop.  It was kind of blah without it.  Sponged around the oval with creamy caramel and a little chocolate chip, and popped up on dimensionals.
I definitely want to try this again with some spring/summer colors, and work on my watercoloring.

I'm off to get some more organization done.  I want to at least dent my studio this weekend.
Thanks for stopping by and welcome to my new friends.
Hugs

ETA:  I forgot to mention in between each color on your folder, make sure you clean off with stamp cleaner or baby wipe. It may stain a little.

All Occasion

I'm going to keep it short and sweet tonite - still not 100%. Can't stop coughing now:(

So these are the gift card holders that I did that aren't Valentine's. They are All Occasion - birthday, thank you, and friendship. I love doing these but I was struggling with my mojo a little near the end. Just tired I think, but I think they turned out pretty good.
Again using some new Stampin' Up! product - love the designer paper, punches, and our new butterfly sizzlet.
Well I'm off to bed and try and kick this cough. I want to have fun in my studio, and not be sick this weekend.
Thanks for stopping by - sweet dreams!!

Valentine's is coming!

I have a sinus infection now.  Yes again.  Sneezing, watery eyes, runny nose - if our weather would just get to normal I would be ok.
I have been working on a order for the local quilt shoppe here in town.  I finally finished and delivered them today.  I will show you the Valentine's ones today.  I think they turned out pretty good.  I used some of the new Stampin' Up! products that I got.  Love the new unmounted stamp sets, the punches and the Designer paper. You can clik on any of the photos to get a closer look.............just not to close huh??  LOL

The last picture shows you the inside - the gift card sits in the center sleeve.  I'm happy with them.
Now I have to go lay down.  I've had a sneeze coming on for 5 mins and it still isn't .....................happening.  Drives me nuts.
I'm going to be starting to prep and get some crafts done for the upcoming craft fair at my daughter's school.  I went to the PAC and told them that a craft fair would be a great way to raise some monies for the school field trips, etc and that I would totally love to do it.  They gave me the go ahead and now it is time to start making schtuff. Lots of it too.  I'm really hoping that it will be a huge success and we get lots of entrants.  Spring is the perfect time to do have a craft fair when everyone is out and about anyway.
I will definitely post pictures for you to see too.
I will post the other Gift card holders tomorrow or later.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting.  I love reading the comments too so thank you for that.
