I can't believe I am still catching up on my sleep today. I had a nap and I'm already for bed again.
This adorable outfit is so cool. I love it and love it's ease. I kind of call it the Wonder Onesie but thinking I may change the name. Not sure yet. You can do so much with this one and it is perfect for a baby boy or girl, just depends on the fabric you use. I want to show you a few pictures of this one so you can see why it is so cool, especially for the new mom. I remember when i was a new mom, I didn't want to pull anything over my babies heads. With this onesie, you don't have to. So easy to put on. Check it out.
This is it all done up with the little t-strap shoes.
This is the first step - opening the buttons (sewin on top of snaps).
The second step - opening the snaps under the arms. See how it lays up away from their head.
And the last step - opening the snaps down each side of the bottoms. Now it is completely open and ready to lay baby on top. For easy diaper changing, just undo the bottoms. There is elastic around the front waist of the bottoms for fit and the legs as well. I love this!
And a close up of the T-strap shoe. Obviously this one particular outfit is for a baby girl. I have another style of shoe for a baby boy. I will try and get that one done for tomorrow. This one fits a 0-6 months size. I will modify and draft for a 6-12 months tomorrow.
Today I just got 4 orders for this one, all boys 6-12 months, and at the craft fair I got 2 orders and prior to the craft fair I got a few. I have to get my butt in gear and get these done. Hard finding cute boy fabric though and definitely not much in my stash. I've got mostly girly prints. Better go shopping too.
So let me know what you think? And what do you think of the name? Any ideas? Would love to hear them :)
Have a good one

Wonderful Mother
Sorry for the missed days - I was busy prepping for my wonderful craft fair and so glad it is over.
Of all the days to be cold and windy after all our beautiful hot sunshiney days, why "my" day??? Oh well, its over and time to start getting ready for the May Days on May long weekend. Hopefully it will be hot and sunny.
I made this next project for a class I'm doing. It may not be exactly like this one, just a few embellishment changes, but pretty close. The class is for kids to craft and make this and a matching card for mom. I think mom would love this and to be made by their daughter or son, even more special.
Like I said, some of the embellishements may change. Thinking of making our own flowers instead, but not sure yet. These ones are from a craft store. I was trying to be quick for the craft show.
I love the quote/poem in this one too.
I have some orders to fill from the craft fair. I got 2 orders from the little pink/kiwi dress I showed you here and 8 of another outfit that I will be posting tomorrow. Then there is also Mothers' Day cards to fill too and 3 possible orders for my Hawaiian tote (different fabrics of course). No rest for the wicked :)
Hope to see you here tomorrow.

Hawaiian for a boy
Good sunshiney morning
The weather is beautiful and going to be 28C today. I'm loving this weather and really wish I could have some downtime outside to enjoy it. I know I will on Sunday after the fair, just hope it is just as nice:)
I have a little boys' outfit to show you. I do prefer little girls stuff since there is always way more to choose from. but once in a while, I like doing something boyish. I used to sew for all my kids when they were growing up and having two boys, I had to find some nice patterns and fabric. Trouble is, they grow way too fast.

This is a little hawaiian outfit complete with the hat too. I haven't found any nice shoes to make just yet. Sandals or thongs would be ideal.
The color is off in the picture of the shorts. Not sure why, but it is bright navy. Notice the hat is basically a ball cap with one of those skirts around the back to protect from the sun.
I think it is pretty cute. And perfect for our Okanagan weather:)
Gotta run and keep on going (just like the Energizer bunny). Have a great day!!

Kiwi Polka Dots
So I'm thinking I like this one so far the best! I love the bright colors and the shoes that I did for this one. Same as yesterday, I was at the fabric stores, two of them, and I sold this one 3 times. I think I will have some orders to do after the craft fair.
So here is the set:
So here is the set:
Here is a picture of what I did for the front of the shoe. There is a small piece of elastic behind this trim for some give.
I took this picture so you can see how the little strap wraps around the baby's ankle. How cute huh?
So which one is your favorite so far?
It's past my bedtime (yes again), but have another outfit to show you tomorrow.
I'm really enjoying making these baby outfits. And yes Heidi, my girlfriend reminded me that it would be a lot less time crafting if I could have another one LOL. So I will just keep on making them for others then:)
Sweet dreams until tomorrow.................warm sunshiney weather again.

Busy, busy, busy...............
What a beautiful day it was today! I got a little fresh air today, but honestly I have been in my craft room most of the time. Other than getting the kids from school, that's all I have been doing.
The Quigley Craft fair is here in less than a week, so I am crunching down. I think it is going to be awesome though. I just hope a ton of people show up. So if you are in the area on Saturday, drop in. We have a great variety of crafters going to be there. It is from 10-4 on April 24th.
This is one thing I have been working on. Baby clothes. They are one of my favorite items to sew. They are so adorable. I showed my husband and asked him if it makes him want to have another - he had the strangest look on his face. I think I scared him. It sure does for me. I loved the baby stage. So here it is:

Isn't it adorable? The Mary Jane shoes are my favorite. This dress will fit a newborn to 3 months. The bodice is fully lined with a contrast fabric. The second photo shows the scalloop decorative stitch I did for the hem. I thought it would look nicer than just the ordinary hem and add some contrast color. The shoes tie to the side with a ribbon and are lined with a soft flannel.
This outfit didn't even make it to the craft fair and it already sold. I had to run to the fabric store and took it with me to match up with something and there was a pregnant lady there due at the end of June. She wanted to purchase it right there. I invited her to the craft fair on Saturday - I plan on having a ton more of different colors and styles. Wonder if she knows already that she is having a girl:)
I will show a different one tomorrow if you want to stop back then. But thanks for stopping by now too.
Hugs

OSW
What a busy weekend! It went way tooo fast. Between getting ready for the craft fair, the kids, soccer, and shopping, that took up my whole weekend and I don't feel like I accomplished a whole lot. Can't wait til next weekend. Bustin' my butt for the next couple of weeks now:) I got tons of projects cut out and ready to sew up.
I found this template to use for a OSW (one sheet wonder) class. The gals have been waiting for this class so I had to get my version completed this weekend. Takes a bit of time when your mojo isn't 100%. Plus the fact, that I don't like my cards too plain so I had to add a little bit more to each card. Overall, I think it turned out great. Some of the cards I like more than others, but it makes a beautiful set of boxed cards for a gift or better yet, Mothers' Day.
I used the Cottage Wall designer paper from Stampin' Up!. Most of the embellishments are also from SU. I even pulled out some punches I haven't used in a while and look at the bottom left corner. I used one of my Pretties flowers and the leaves are from the Bird punch in the Occasions mini. I used various sentiments including the new ones from the Occasion mini. Love that font! The colors are Orchid Opulence, Old Olive, Pale Plum, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White.
If you want to see what colors SU will be retiring and all the new color families, there is a link for each on my sidebar. And the new In Colors will be around for 2 years rather than just the one year as in the past. Awesome Stampin' Up! The new Summer mini is going to be coming out May 1st, so if you want a copy, shoot me an email and let me know. Don't forget the Occasions mini is done at the end of this month. You can still get some of the new punches (the bird punch) and the awesome designer papers. I love the Sweet Pea collection.
Be sure to check back tomorrow. I have a Mothers' Day gift that I am prepping for a class for kids. Kids can come and make this beautiful Mom's day gift and a matching card. Lots of fun:)
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine!! It was beautiful here today and promises to get warmer - up in the 20's by the end of the week (not counting tomorrow cause it's raining all day).
Hugs to you all

Flowers for MOM
I wanted to show you another card we did at our stamp class. This is one of my favorite color combos. I also tried to keep it "clean" which I'm not normally very good at. I tend to want to keep adding. I do love how it turned out though.
We used one of my favorite sets Friends 24-7 and for the sentiment is one of the new sets called Well Scripted. They are available in wood mounted or acrylic. The girls were excited about the new fonts. The colors used were Old Olive, Whisper white and Taken with teal. The Designer paper is from the new series called Sweet Pea. I really love these papers. A larger size than what SU usually does and such an awesome variety of designs in this Designer paper stack. The punch down the side is the Scallop Trim border punch that was in the Sale-a-Bration mini. Both the designer paper and the Well Scripted are available in the Occasions mini until the end of April, as well as some other punches that you will love. I really hope that they all make it into the new catalogue.
Don't forget to check out the promotions from Stampin' Up! on my sidebar.
Hope you enjoyed this one.

Just for You
So I had my first stamp class on Thursday night. First one since before Christmas. It was so much fun getting together with the girls again. It seems like forever. We did a lot of catching up and had a lot of fun stamping. We are all game into keeping it going since they were having withdrawls they said.
I will be adding some classes tomorrow to April's schedule since Mother's day is coming up in May. A special class will also be added for young stampers to join in and make a Mothers' day gift and matching card so watch for that too.
This is one of the cards we did. Using the ornament punch, we turned it into a vase by cutting the bottom point off. Using also my favorite Sizzlits butterflies with some glitter. I love how this one turned out. The colors are Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Old Olive.
Here is a close up of the butterflies. Aren't they a perfect touch for this card?
Don't forget the Occasions mini is still available until the end of the month. Some new promotions are also going on and you can find those on my sidebar. You don't want to miss them - Clearance Rack is only while supplies last too!
Have a great day!!!!

Tropical tote complete
Hello friends
Hope everyone has been enjoying their Easter weekend. We went for a day trip to Castlegar on Saturday. It was awesome and so relaxing. Until we hit a blizzard/white out in the Crowsnest Pass. We literally hit all four seasons on this drive. There was hail, sleet, snow, whiteout conditions, rain and sunshine. There was deer all over the place. You really have to watch for them running across the highway. A guy in front of us had to break so he wouldn't hit a deer and when we passed him, he was pulled over on the side of the road. When we looked back, his side bumper was dented..........apparently he didn't break in time and hit one. I hate seeing that. It was the worst part of the trip for me. We saw some beautiful country though and boy the people down there are sooo friendly. And of course I forgot my camera....I was bummed.
So I have been trying to create this slide show for you to see my latest tote. I figured it would've been easier than posting all thirteen photos. I couldn't get them to load properly. I finally tried again today and got them all loaded.................all but one. The only one that didn't show was the bottom of the tote done in chocolate leather. Make sure you check out the added handy pocket on the one side of the tote. And you will see my new logo too. Feel free to leave a comment - I would love to hear what you think. This is my favorite so far.
This tote was made for a good friend of mine and our daughters are best friends. She is a travel agent and wanted a tote so that she could bring her work home whenever necessary, as well as her laptop. I had picked up the fabric for myself a while back and you all know how much I love tropical theme. Whether it be decor, color, fabric, clothing - doesn't matter. I love it all!! Colleen had seen my fabric and said she had to have a tote made of the same fabrics. Problem was it was selling out fast so we went to pick it up. She chose four different co-ordinating fabrics and chose where she wanted each to go. Neither one of us knew what it would look like until it was complete. That's half the fun - designing it. Her monogram is on the front side pocket. Although it is hard to see, we like it. We both agreed it should have been put on the chocolate cotton fabric instead but it still looks great in real. I also added a handy pocket for her on the side of the tote. Very handy for a busy business women who has to travel on occasion. And don't forget to check out my new logo. All the colors I used are in the co-ordinating fabrics. Colleen loved it too!!! It turned out so perfect.
So check out the link. Leave a comment and let me know what you think.
A huge thanks to Colleen for her patience. I am so happy she loved it as much as I do:) Hugs girlfriend.

I'm hoping to get some spare time after the craft fair to get some of these totes made up for my Etsy store. I really want to try one in a baby theme for a diaper bag. I think it would be absolutely perfect and so much room to use as an overnight bag too for baby. How about a beach theme for going to the beach with all your crafty stuff like magazines, stamped images and coloring tools? I've done it:) Even use it for a retreat. If you are interested in a tote, feel free to email me for more info.
Off to do some more crafts for the craft fair. It'll be here in just over 3 weeks!
