One World One Heart 2011

I am so glad that you stopped by! Welcome to Dreamscape Studio.  My little haven where I like to escape and spend MOST of my time. I'm Sue and here you will find all kinds of creations made from the heart. I love to do all crafts, but my passion is stamping, sewing and machine embroidery.
Baby clothing and accessories are my all-time favorite to create. No worrying on sizing and I always like to have a hat or headband or anything that will complete the outfit. Especially when it is for gifts. Being able to personalize with embroidery makes it even more special. I also love to make purses and tote bags with some embroidery.
When it comes to stamping, cards of course are up there. Altering address books or journals with quotes on the front have to be my favorite to create. I've even tried shadow boxes too and they are so fun!!

I used to love selling my creations at craft fairs but now you can find them all at my Etsy store (empty right now), browse around my blog or check out the photo albums on Facebook with pictures of everything (both links on my sidebar).

Why am I telling you this? Cause I am one of 100's flying on the wings of OWOH 2011 (clik on the logo above to read about this fun event).  It is open to all active bloggers worldwide!  All you need to do is leave a comment with a way for me to contact you and don't forget to leave your blog address so I can stop by and visit you too!  On February 18th, I will announce the winner (email them and post it).  So what is my door prize?  Check it out!!

LOL this happens to be one of my favorite things to create too.  It is a set which includes a Usernames & Passwords book, a matching journal and a mylar angel.

This is perfect for keeping record of the sites, blogs and stores you like to visit often or shop in. You can record the name of the blog, your username and password.  Keep this on your desk so you always have it handy. A ribbon holds your pen for you so you are always ready. Here are some closer views:

And this is the matching journal.

..........with one of my favorite quotes on the front. And some closeups of the front.

Now you can read the quote better LOL.

And last but not least, also included in this door prize is an embroidered angel.  I use mylar to give her some elegant glow.

Here you can see the mylar a little better. It's kind of like cellophane.

You can hang her in your craft room, from your rear view mirror in your vehicle or even at your desk.
So, to be eligible to win all this:

1. You need to have an active blog.
2. You MUST add a comment below and include an email or some way for me to make contact with you once this event is done (Feb 17th)
3. I will use random org to choose the winner and post the winner Feb 18th
So come on ~ join in the fun.  Grab your coffee or cold drink and come fly on the wings with all of us bloggers around the world.  You won't be disappointed! There's so much to see..................

True Love

Hi! Another Valentine card here as promised.
I absolutely love LOTV stamps and this image is perfect..............and so cute. Colored with my copics  of course.  Some DSP (retired) from Stampin' Up! was used and punched with a MS border punch.  You can't really tell unless you maybe clik on the picture, but there is glitter embellishing the paper.  I finally got to use my Prima flowers and I added some white flock on his tail. Both punches for the sentiment are from Stampin' Up! as well. I did add some glitter to the little hearts in the flowers too.
And in case you wanted to see the inside:

I had to do this cause I stamped the sentiment crooked.  Hate it when that happens LOL.  Next time I will use my Stamp-a-majig and then I can't go crooked. It doesn't look bad but I would have preferred it with just the border vanilla on the bottom.  Oh well.  I still love my card :)

Gonna keep it short and sweet since I have to get ready for work.  I will be solo today again so I need to go in a bit early.

DON'T FORGET TO MARK YOUR CALENDARS JANUARY 30th, MIDNIGHT, the OWOH blog hop starts.  Thousands of  fellow active bloggers are joining in on this huge event, so be sure to come by tomorrow.  There's even door prizes to be won!!
See you tomorrow

Two of a Kind

It's time for me to get some Valentines' cards done and on time for sending.
So here is my first one complete.
This image is from a friend and I think it is so adorable.  I usually struggle a little using my greys and black copics, but I think they turned out pretty good this time.
I used DSP retired from Stampin' Up! and the little heart border punch is from Stampin' Up! as well.
Here is a closeup of the bling on the heart:

I used the red fine glitter from Stampin' Up! and you can see some sparkle now on the designer paper.

So that is it for today. Pop by tomorrow and be ready to participate in the OWOH.  It will be so much fun and lots of participants ~ in the 1000's.  There will be door prizes too so you will want to come back for sure.
I'm really excited so I better go get it all ready.
Thanks for stopping in to see me and have an awesome day:)

Comfy!!!

TGIF!!  It has been a long week for me.  Putting in a few extra hours daily at work while the gal that normally trains me is away with the flu, so I've been on my own.  Poor girl, especially when she is pregnant and do at the end of March.  And her little boy is 3 yrs and sick too with fever.  It's going around everywhere.  I haven't gotten the flu yet, but upset stomach for the last few days and feeling drained.
But, I'm back and hopefully almost back to normal. As normal as can be for now. LOL.
Today, I wanted to share with you some items I altered but can't show you until Sunday the 30th of January because they are for OWOH.  Remember, I mentioned that last time you were here.  Refresh your memory by clicking the link on my sidebar.  It should be lots of fun and lots of inspiration (and prizes) so you will need to come back on Sunday for sure.  Mark your calendars!!!

So, I will show you something else that I made and finally got finished.  I think they are so adorable. They are made with 100% quilting cotton, flannel and minky lining.  Very comfy! The ties come around to the back from the side and tie. A one inch foam is in the sole of the slipper for extra comfort.

I love this color combo and can see it in a tote or purse too. I think I have enough left though for another pair of these.........maybe for me LOL.

That's it for today.  Got some more pictures to get taken and loaded ready for Sunday.  Have a great weekend and will see you here tomorrow.

In my thoughts.........

Sorry I have been absent.  Been busy tending to sickies.  My hubby and son are home with body aches, chills, fever - some bug has got them.  Good thing I'm off for a few days - they need looking after.

I needed to make a sympathy card for my hubby's friend.  Fairly simple card, just used some DSP layered on Pretty in Pink and Sahara Sand cardstock.  A little bit of stickles on the flowers and of course, a butterfly with glitter.  The sentiment is from KSS I think.

Sorry to keep it short.  I need to go and check on my sickies and give them their medications. I am also working on my OWOH giveaway so be sure to check back.

Have a great day and enjoy your weekend.

Snowflake bear

So with the snowfall we had a couple of days ago, more like a blizzard without the wind, my project is totally suitable for this time of year.
Bunting bags are perfect to keep baby warm when it is cold and nasty outside.  Little hands stay warm and covers can be folded back as well. Unzip easily while indoors and keeps them cozy with lots of movement too.

This one is for a baby girl that is about 18-21 lbs and 27-28" in length. It's a size Medium. The fleece print is pink with baby blue snowflakes and white polar bear cubs on it.  So here is the embroidery design I chose to add and I think is perfect for this:

Isn't she adorable.  I thought it totally suited the print and had to use it.

So that's it for today.  If you are interested in ordering a bunting bag for baby boy or girl, send me an email.

Thanks for stopping in and hope your weekend was productive:)

Dream big

Sorry I'm late with my post today.  My camera died and couldn't upload my pictures.
I wanted to share with you one of my favorite images.  A cute little fairy from LOTV.  These images are perfect for all ages. The sentiment is from Gina K.

Different closeups so you can see the glitter I added to her dress and wings, as well as the butterflies.
I really enjoy doing these journals.  I also added a charm with beads to the coil.

I hope you enjoyed my journal.  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Topsy Towels

Hello friend!!!  Today I am wanting to show you something really neat that I did for the Christmas craft fairs in December.

These are decorative towels to hang on your oven or handle of a cupboard or anywhere you have a handle for them to hang.  The printed cotton on top matches the embroidery design that I have put on to bottoms.  Here is a few more I did.

This gingerbread is one of my favorites. Just love that saying with the cute little gingerbread guy.  I did another one that was baby blues snowflakes with touch of silver and then embroidered snowflakes with Mylar on the bottom.  Very pretty - sorry I can't show you since they all sold. Will have to do some more of those ones.

I will be working on some now for spring/summer.  They will be so much fun and full of color.

Interested in any of these or when I get my new ones done, send me an email.

Thanks for stopping in.  Hope you enjoyed my creations for today.=:)

A bird does not sing.....................

I love this quote - I love all quotes but this is one of my favorites.

I decided to do another journal....................just cause I wanted to:)  I embossed the stamped image with clear to help it pop a little.  I used one of my favorite DSP from Stampin' Up! but unfortunately it is retired.

And a closeup just in case you wanted to see:

And the embellishments:

I hope you enjoyed it and thanks for stopping by.  Got to keep this short and get lots more done.

This was taken last week in the evening when we were out - not very clear and focused ( I know Kelli) but we were driving and I tried to capture it before it was gone.  It was so pretty.  I wanted to show you anyway.

Enjoy your day.  Stay warm and hopefully you arent' getting the cold and snow.  We have the cold right now and snow on the way.....brrrr!   I am soooo ready for spring.

'Tater Bakers

That's right - these are 'Tater Bakers.  I made up a bunch of these for the last craft fair and didn't get a chance to show you.
You can use these for Corn on the Cob, baked potatoes, tortillas and I think, even buns.  Just pop the potatoes in, set the microwave according to the directions, and they come out really tender and fluffy in just minutes..

Here is a closeup of a couple of the different ones. This one is bright and cheery.

I love this print ~
(not sure why so dark)

I wanted to get a closeup of the embroidery/applique so you can see it.
They sold pretty good at the craft fair.  If you are interested, just send me an email to rarinstamp@shaw.ca. They have the directions as well included so you can start using it right away:)  The rooster one is sold ~ top picture, bottom centre.  I wanted to show  you the different prints I have right now. I will be definitely doing some more of these so watch here or my Etsy store which should be loaded very soon.

Thanks for stopping by today
